Carrot Cake Waffles

It may taste like you're having cake for breakfast, but shredded carrots, raisins, and walnuts add a nutritional boost to this waffle recipe.

– 3 eggs – 2 tablespoons sugar – 2 ¼ cups flour – 2 cups milk – ¼ cup oil – 1 Tblsp baking powder – ½ tsp salt – 1 tsp cinnamon – 1 tsp allspice – ½ teaspoon cloves – 1 ½ cups grated carrots – 1 cup raisins – 1 cup walnuts  – 2 tsp vanilla 

Ingredients

Beat egg whites with sugar; set aside.

Combine flour, baking powder...

spices...

egg yolks...

grated carrots...

walnuts...

...and milk.  

Fold in whipped egg whites to make a fluffy waffle batter. 

Spoon batter into a hot waffle iron.

Top with syrup, walnuts, and raisins
