Make the Meat Sauce
There are a number of options when it comes to the sauce you use for this lasagna. The recipe calls for a meat sauce, but it's easy to skip the beef for a vegetarian sauce.
Ricotta cheese, egg, seasonings, and parmesan cheese combine to make the perfect filling for this delicious Italian-inspired meal.
The next step is a shortcut that is going to rock your dinner prepping world. And maybe give your Italian Nonna a heart attack.
(Are you ready for this??)
You are not going to cook the lasagna noodles!
That's right. Trust me.
Layer the Lasagna
Start by spreading some of the sauce in the bottom of a casserole dish. Add a layer of (uncooked) noodles & a layer of ricotta cheese mixture. Repeat. Top with cheese. Refrigerate.
Bake until top is browned and the edges are crispy.
Allow to rest 10-15 minutes before serving.
