Healthy Applesauce Waffles (No Refined Sugar)

These fluffy applesauce waffles are moist and lightly sweet. With no added sugar, they're a healthy breakfast option the whole family will love.

  • 3 large eggs separated
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg ground
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups applesauce
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract


  • Preheat waffle iron.
  • Using a stand or handheld mixer, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • Combine remaining ingredients (including egg yolks) in a separate bowl and stir together, making sure to not over-stir. Fold in the whipped egg whites, until just incorporated.
